Work and weight loss

I’ve been a bit busy with family related issues and work that I haven’t had time to post much in here. For all you praying hands out there, please keep my FIL in your prayer’s. He has stage 4 heart failure and has to go under the knife soon. We aren’t sure much and I don’t have much more to tell then that.
My job is going pretty good, last night made me hate people for a little while LOL. I guess I’ll have nights like that. I felt like I got gypped lol. I worked my butt off, I was nice, I made sure my people had their drinks like I always do, we were busy it was one of our busiest nights. I should have made at least $60 in tips. I took the advice of the manager last night when we had our meeting before we got out there and worked. Which was “If a customer asks for a certain sauce ask them if they have ever tried it before and if they haven’t, then ask them if they would like a sample before they try it to be sure they will like it.” Yup I did that to everyone. I repeated my orders back to the people, I had several people who would order, I would repeat their order back to them. Then I’d ask “Can I get you an fries or wedges?” One lady said “Yeah, I would like some fries please.” I said “Ok, so (repeat the order again)” She said I had it right, it was loud in there I get that, but fries and wedges sound totally different. Her order came out she said “I did not order fries, I ordered wedges.” I didn’t argue, I said “I’m sorry I must have misunderstood you. Let me go get the wedges then.” I would smile and I apologized and everything. I knew deep down she did order fries but I’m not about to argue with someone. Well then later I got another customer, she opened the menu and was reading the “Tablegate sampler” and said “I think I want this.” I said “The tablegate?” She said “Yes this one that comes with the wings and I want the wings in the Asian Zing sauce.” Both our samplers come with wings, 1 has boneless and one has traditional. She pointed at it and everything. I put the order in, took it out to her when it was done and she said “Oh no this is not what I ordered.” I said “This is the Tablegate sampler.” She said “I ordered the sampler.” I opened the menu and pointed at the one she ordered, and said this one right?” She said “Oh I guess that is right, but I meant the other one, so I guess that’s my fault.” She was the only one that was really nice about it and she even tipped me. On a busy night last night making only $32 in tips, hurts. I have reviewed it all over in my head trying to figure out what I did wrong and what I can do to better myself. I still can’t figure out what I did wrong. But I did get an idea, that I might do to people who seem loose and want some fun in their life lol. When someone tells me what they want and I repeat the order back to them in a Regis voice “Is that your final answer?” ROFL I don’t know that might scare people. I want to be able to just be comfortable and them knowing I’m comfortable and be able to make small talk like some of the others do. I did do this to a few people last night. Like I had one couple who came in and they chatted with me not on a personal level, but like kinda a joking manner and people like that make the job fun. I guess I’m having a hard time reading people or some. Some are easy to read some not so much. I use to be really good at reading people. Last week I did so good. Last week I brought home $300 in tips. This week I’ve only brought home $42. I know that it also has something to do with this week I’m off on all our busy day’s except last night. So this week might be tough. Oh well, next week is still there.
Well enough about work, I won’t go into anymore of that lol. I do love my actual job and I don’t mind doing any of it. I can’t wait till I no longer need days off, because that bit is a downer at times. I love that I have a job that they do like to work us. They are pretty fair to, as in when they let us go and so on. I do have a few issues but other then those I do like my job. You’ll never have a job you 100% like I don’t believe that really exist. I mean maybe I’m wrong because I do love crocheting, but then there is 1 down fall I hate sitting on my butt all day lol. I love being a mom, but it wears you out too I hate cleaning the house but I hate a dirty house LOL. I think there will always be something about something I don’t like, which is ok, because I look at the positives and try to make the best of it all.
Now there is my weight loss. I don’t think I’ve really talked much on that lately here. I’m officially down 101lbs. My weigh in day’s are Friday’s. But I’ll be weighing in on Thursday this week. I am off work Thur-Saturday, Thur I have to go to my doc, go shopping, go get hubby and son from work and school, go back to school and watch my little munchkin boy in his school play. Seth is doing awesome in school this year. He made all A’s on his last report card, and he has a speaking part in the play tomorrow night. Saturday I have a wedding I’m photographing. It’s a wedding gift to her. I can’t wait to really put this new camera into use. Thursday and Friday I’m really going to be playing with it so I can be sure to get all my setting good I want her to have the best photo’s I can possibly give her. She’s such a great person and deserves the best! I know I’m not the best and still an amateur but practice makes perfect. She’s seen what I can do and she came to me. I’m delighted to do this for her.
So anyway, back to weight loss. I’ve lost 101lbs I have 29 more to go. Here is a photo.

I’m officially a Server (waitress)
I passed my test. Nervous for nothing, was pretty easy. I was really nervous at the start, but my nerves were calmed getting into it. I arrived about 10 minutes early, the manager said he’d be with me shortly to get this done. I think I waited 15 minutes before we started. Which was ok with me I just kept studying lol. He came to me and said “Are you ready?” I smiled and said “I’ve been studying all week, but I’m nervous.” He said “Ok listen, I promise I won’t bite. I’m not gonna holler, I’ll be pretty easy going. Just take a deep breath, you’ve trained all week, you should know the ropes.” I replied “It’s not about knowing it, it’s about doing it to you when I know deep down you are grading me not tipping.” He laughs. He said “Well thank of your grade as your tip.” That made me feel a little more at eased about it.
Well I started, and man I was trying so hard to remember it all. When I would play it out in my head, I blew him away ROFL. But this is not a dream, this was reality. So we started. He sat down, I brought the bev. napkin. I sat it down, and then I started with “Hi! My name is Melissa, welcome to Buffalo wild wings. I will be serving you this evening. Have you ever eaten with us before?” He replied with “Yes, a few times.” I said “Great! Can I start you off with maybe a budlight, margarita, killians, or maybe just a coke or dr. pepper?” He said “Do you have sweet tea?” I said “Yes sir. How about an appetizer? We have some great mozzarella sticks, southwest bites, Nachos or even some yummy onion rings?” He smiled at me and said “How many Mozzarella sticks do you get in a serving?” I said “6 and it comes with Marinara sauce.” He said “Oh that sounds great, I think I’ll take an order of those.” I smiled when I lifted my head up and said “Is there anything else I can do for you?” He said “No I think that’ll do it.” I said “Ok I’m going to go put this in and I’ll get you your drink and be back with you shortly.” I put his order in, and go and get his sweet tea. I come back with his sweet tea and asked “Are you ready to order or would you need a little more time?” He said “I think I’m ready.” I said “Ok” and I pulled my pen and tablet out. I noticed he looked at my tablet, which I made the sheets the other day.
This is what they look like. I then said “Today is traditional Tuesday, this means our wings are $.45 a piece. It is also happy hour from 3-6, which means our 23 ounce draft beers are $2.50.” He says “Speaking of the wings, what sauces and spices do you have” I named them all off and did not miss not even 1 of them 
… Then he said “And on the beers, can you tell me what the name of the draft beers are?” I named about 20 of them. Well he ended up ordering a Spinach and chicken flat bread. (Which I might add looked totally amazing.) I went to put his order in, and walked to the back a moment, I came back out because my nerves had calmed and I remembered something, I walked back to him and asked “Would you like one of our playmakers while you are waiting?” He smiled and said “No thank you.” I checked back with him a few times before his food was out. I brought his food and asked him if everything looked ok and if he needed anything else. I also brought him his silverware after I dropped off his tea. I checked back after he had sat there a few and his food was about gone and asked if he was interested in a dessert, that we had chocolate cake, snickers pie and he cut me off, I was gonna finish and he said “How about that snickers pie? That sounds amazing.” I put it in, and went back and got the plate and dressed up the plate like I was suppose to. Brought it out and served him. I waited till his pie was almost gone but not yet, and asked him if he was doing ok, noticed his tea was still almost full, so I didn’t ask about a drink. So I asked if he was ready for his check or if he wanted more time? He said he was ready. I had already printed it out, because you can print it out and then if they want something else you can always go back and add to it and print another one out. So he pulled it out of my apron and placed it on the table. He looked at me in total shock and at first I was like “Oh crap what did I do wrong.” He was surrounded by employees at this time and he said “Did ya’ll see that? She is the first one I have ever done an audit on who already had the check ready, everyone always forgets that part.” I went from a :/ oh crap face to a big face lol. He then looked at me and said “Now that wasn’t too bad was it?” I smiled and said “No it was fun.” He said “Good because you did great. I’ll grade this and let you know how you did in a moment.” He called me over after he was done and said “You only missed like 2 things. You forgot to ask me if I wanted a salad and you didn’t know all your beers but you knew most of them. Well done!
So now Sunday aka SUPER BOWL Sunday I start on my own . I’m super excited… I feel at peace about the job now I mean really at peace.
This morning we got confirmation that our income tax will be in our bank account by Friday. So I will have my DSLR Friday evening and I can’t wait …
